cant install v4 into poser 4 propak?comes up with message when using poser tm files must be installed in same dir as exe file, wont install same for morphs etc.what is poser TM?WILL V4 WORK IN POSER4 PROPAK-HELP.

I don't have Propack, so I can't test this, but I'd have thought it ought to be possible to install V4.1 into it, provided you are putting it into the directory that actually contains POSER.EXE.   You get the same message at any release of Poser, if you try to put V4.1 into a different directory.   V4 and V4.1 do, however, have features which aren't guaranteed to work at a lower level than Poser 6.

The ProPack doesn't support multiple external runtimes so you have to install to the main Poser Runtime.  The installer will do the work for you.  There are, however, many features of V4 and 4.1 that simply will not work in anything lower than P6 so having V4 in the ProPack is, to me, a waste of $$

that doesnt sound good.iam trying to put in the place where the exe file is but keeps poping up the message about where it should go?

Just point the installer to your Poser directory and it will do the rest.  On my system, Poser is located at "D:Program FilesCurious LabsPoser (5 & 6)" but your installation will be different.  I don't have P4 or the ProPack installed any longer since I got P7 and I don't support anythin below P5 for my products any longer.

like i said before  thats what ive done-doesnt work.i have p5,installs,but seems not to beable to read the file once you click on v4.just sits their after saying its a newer version an will attemt to load anyway-iam going to try an get a refund from daz.

when you click on the v4 installer, does it ask you to search for poser? if it does have it search for the poser you have installed on your system and it should install to that directory. I don't have poser 5, just 6 and 7 and v4 installed properly into both versions.

I have V4 loaded in P7 and P5. P5 does give a message about V4 being a newer version than expected, but once I click OK on that, she loads just fine... faster than in P7. All I did was run the Installer. Wouldn't have a clue how to do it any other way.

its does the same thing in p5 like you,but doesnt load v4,just sits their-darn.

V4 works properly as is only in Poser 6 and up. you can make her work without those warnings in Poser 5 but it involves using a text editor on the cr2 and all the files in the !DAZ/Victoria 4 folder, (you have to change the version number). as they are all set to Poser 6. I don't believe you will get her to work 100% in P4 not sure about ProPack.

Maybe try re-running the installer? Or maybe there's something not right with the installer itself? Might try a fresh download of that, too.
