Subject: How do you lengthen/shorten limbs on a V3 character?

moushie ( ) posted Thu, 20 December 2007 at 11:23 PM · edited Mon, 05 August 2024 at 8:08 AM

Is there a way to shorten or lengthen limbs on a V3 character in the baffling absence of xyz dimension controls?

Go to
www.daz3d.com

file_395947.TXT

I don't have the standard V3, but I do have V3 RR (reduced resolution) this figure does have all the scale channels in the legs.

I find it hard to believe that V3 does not have the same scale channels. Have you scrolled right down to the bottom of the paramiters pallet? I suppose it's possible that the scale dials have been hidden in V3, though I can't think that why DAZ would do that. If they have been hidden then a pose file should be able to fix that. Try the one attached above, save it to a poise folder without the ".TXT" part of the file name.

Many thanks Stormchaser. I've downloaded that file -- not checked it out yet -- but I'm confident that will do the job.

I just use the built-in dials (or maybe I'm not understanding question right)

Sorry, I meant V4, not V3. It  has an overall scale dial for each limb but no x. y, or z.

There's a freebie somewhere, utility pose that will show the dials (on most anything I've tried, not just V4), search for Reveal V4 Scale Dials.
