I have the V4 bodysuit and it's quite versatile with all of the standard V4 morphs plus some style morphs as well. It has a lot of material zones as well so on its own its very versatile I find. Combine that with opacity, displacement and bump maps and you can do quite a lot with it. For armor padding, I'd fiddle with displacement maps in the texture, that should get you the effect you want.

I'm thinking about buying the V4 Bodysuit but I've got some questions to those who have it...
Can you make basic armor-like padding with it?
How versatile is it? Can you make decent clothing (like pants and shirts)? I'm not talking about very detailed clothing...just basic stuff.
How much can you change between the different body parts? V necks, exposed skin on the thighs, abdomen, or arms?
