Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 21 4:30 pm)
The problem with trying to gather up all of the resources you used in a .pz3 file and packaging it up for use on another computer is that Poser relies on the runtime paths to the items inside the .pz3 file. So if you take all of that stuff to a different computer and don't put them back in the exact same structure/path, Poser will be making you find textures, geometries, cr2, INJ morphs, Deltas etc etc.
So far as getting rid of the extra morphs that were not used, I have no clue. I asked and was told you have to go one by one and delete them, I think later that Ockham or svdl made a script or three to do it automatically, but it was very complicated and I never did figure it out.
Here are the threads. If you can figure it out, more power to you :)

Poser runs on 64-bit but in 32-bit 'mode' - just like all 32-bit software. I read that it runs rather well for the most part.
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.

Does anyone have a nice outline list of the things to do before you render final scenes to compress the file. (ex. get rid of extra morphs, compress texture files etc etc etc)
Secondly, is there a way to "package" a scene. I.E. Once I finish a scene, i want to take all the files used in that scene (and only the files needed, not the extra junk in the runtime) and burn it to a disk (so i can just unzip in a blank runtime and have it on a workhorse computer running for renders only)
Does that make sense?
