Yeah, maybe a little, but for the piccy I just scaled it roughly as they are two seperate objects.
I still need to build a connecting building between the cottage and the lighthouse.
The image here is what I used as a guide.
Tom - jes it is. the rail guard atop the tower should be about 3 feet high. taking a que from that the doorway on the house is at least 9 feet. The windows too could be a little smaller in proportion to the overall size of the house. - again - it looks real good, so who am I to complain? All in all it's better than most people could do.

The image there was just a quickie, for display purposes, it was in no way meant as an acurate deptiction of real life measurement. I just wanted to show both objects.... not necesarally in context with one another, just two objects that happened to be in the same image.
I hope this clears up any misunderstanding and I will endeavor to be more precise with such depictive imagary.
Thankyou.
Ok...I got the lighthouse and I love it...but I'm stuck now..my picture is exactly the way I want it but I'm having a really hard time with the light coming from the lighthouse beacon. It wants to engulf the whole picture..
HELP!
anyone know where there is a tute for lighthouse lighting?
I'm still learning and it's been a hit and miss but this one has me stumped for now.
I used a spotlight and placed it in the proper place but I can't figure out how to control the size of the cone of light it produces.

Thanks dhama.
The few tutorials that I have seen are for streaming light rays but it isn't exactly what I want and they all say to use a spotlight with volume and infinite turned on..
I finally figured out how to control the size..now I need to play with it until I get the effect I want....sometimes I think I'm too picky but I have the idea in my head and can't get it out.. lol

Right now I'm trying every light..every way I can...lol
Its all your fault you know. :m_confused:
Back to work...
