Subject: How can export maps of a max file when exporting to obj format

nyguy ( ) posted Sat, 17 May 2008 at 5:11 PM · edited Sun, 28 July 2024 at 9:49 PM

I am working on Converting a Max file to obj for use in Poser. The Artist who created the file in Max doesn't know anything about rigging in Poser (non does she own poser). All of her maps are in tif and gif format which I have no issues with. My issue is how do I match the maps when I export from 3dmax as an Obj file?

Hi.  It's been years since I looked at Max but if the object has UV info and the maps used utilize said info, it should be as simple as exporting to OBJ.  Then you'd just load the maps in Poser's material room.

Or maybe I'm wrong...as I said, Max and I aren't speaking these days.
