Hi,
I have been out of the Carrara loop for awhile. I am using Carrara Pro with the latest 6.21 patch.
Everytime I try to load an inj it asks me to locate it manually. the version I was using 6 months ago did not do this. Is there a problem and if so is there a work around?

Try pointing it to your runtime folder again before opening the morph injection.  It might need to update.

Is the problem with any character, or just V4?
I use the latest C6 standard and am not having any inj trouble, BUT DAZ changed V4 so that you have to load each and every morph.
If that is your problem, then look over at April YSH's website (She is the vendor responsible for so many of the fine hair models at DAZ). She has a freebie patch that loads all the morphs on V4 for you. You can preload a V4, save it as one of your objects in the browser, and be spared this trouble in the future.
If that is not the source of the trouble, I defer to the C6 pro folks.

Hi Sueposer,
Yes, it is with V4.2. I am also having problems with loading many textures. Grrrrrrrr.
This used to be a really good software. I am really disappointed in it now.

I am not going to complain about the software when some of these problems are probably 'operator related". I am easing back into it and things are starting to come together.
patience is not my first language.

I love C6, but I did feel a bit led on about the ease of using Poser content with Carrara. That said, I have developed a flow for working with the textures and characters. ALWAYS, the textures must be adjusted in the shader room. Almost always, some extraneous color has been overlaid on the texture map. This is an artifact that is poser's "fault". Other settings are reliably wrong too.
After I fix the shader tree, I save the "adjusted" shader in the C6 browser or a scene file, so I do not have to go through that again. Doing all this adjustment takes time and inhibits experimenting around. It's enough to drive a girl to procedural shaders!
I think I will put my V4 in an inner tube, floating on the ocean near one of Carrara's tropical islands and take a break!

I agree. Things used to be much easire with poser content and Carrara before the new patch and V4.2.  Makes you wonder what they are thinking.
Oh well, onward thrugh the fog.

I don't have any injection coming up and asking me.. I will play around a bit later and see if it happens as I recently updated.
