Frederik Slijkerman has just released Ultra Fractal 5, a major upgrade. The new version supports layer groups, image importing, thumbnail browsing, and a brand-spanking-new object-oriented formula compiler.

As part of the beta testing team, I've been able to use the software now for a while. The beta team has also written a lot of new formula code for UF5, which you can get automatically by updating the library after installing the software. We're just beginning to explore what we can do with this compiler, but the next few months look like a whole lot of fun.
