How can i export a face/head morph from dazstudio to poser ?

I'm not sure that can be done yet!

There was a new Rigging Tools toolbox that was just released for DAZ  Studio that has a cr2 export but it's not got a way, that I know of, to pick which areas of the body you can export out like hands or head only!!

if you have the newest version 2.3.3.89 you can get www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/daz-studio-add/poser-format-exporter this witch is says it can export the different poser files like hand and face files, as well as many other i haven't read up on it just yet though

I think that's just MOR info though, not full morphs which can be exported in cr2 format.

aparently it's better than the previous version RAMWolf with the newest version of d/s

Yea, haven't tried it out yet.  I think the only thing they added was animation export options though!

according to the front image it exports cr2's, fc2's, and hand files aswell but like i said i haven't done any playing with it yet  i wanted to try getting out some poses but with daz before it wouldn't export pz2's as far as i could find, other than mat poses from the material exporter script

RAMWorks ( ) posted Fri, 31 October 2008 at 12:13 PM

Well the weird thing about the first release was that you have to fill in the prefixes yourself like pz2, hr2 and .... fc2 (see and I can't even remember what they are  )

I want export the head from victoria 4.2 in dazstudio as a head morph for poser. That's the idea !

  1. I create a face with faceshop in dazstudio
  2. Now i wan't export this from dazstudio into poser.

TheHalfdragon ( ) posted Fri, 31 October 2008 at 12:45 PM

well between the two of us ( myself and RAMWolf i thin it would be a good idea to read up on what it can do on the page and maybe see what options it has once dl'd it is free as far as i know so it couldn't hurt

RAMWorks ( ) posted Fri, 31 October 2008 at 2:08 PM

Yea, not sure how that works.  Out of league.  Sorry!

Use DeltaX's free Morphto Inj script, available from the DAZ Studio Freepozitory in the DAZ forums (there's a sticky thread with links to all the free scripts) to make the morph injectable into an empty PBM channel, then use the exported files to add the morph to a base V4 in Poser.

I think this tutorial will be useful for you, very simple:
