Subject: Numbering of posts inside threads

Sometimes, when a thread becomes long, it's hard to refer to previous posts: "More or less three pages ago, you said this thing...".

It would be a HUGE improvement if each post in a thread could be numbered, preferrably with a progressive number starting from #1  (or even with its absolute index in the forum DB). A further improvement would be making the number clickable so it would link directly the post. Many forums have this feature.

I agree that having a link that you can use to refer a post actually in the header for that post would be a good idea (this is a standard PHPBB feature).
The read/unread star icon could be used as a container for such a link.

As a workaround you can do a search to obtain a post specific link.
