Subject: How to Move the Poser Editing Tools Position

The Poser Editing Tools have become placed directly in front of "Set Up, Hair and other Background Labels on the Screen Top that prevent being able to Click and  Move the Tools to another position. The Other Background labels prevent being able to use the Editing Tools as well because the Background labels are accessed rather than the Editing Tools.

Is there a Keyboard method or some other way to Move the Editing Tools than trying to click and drag them to place?

Well, you could reset the interface to factory default and then re-customize it.  I've had to do this myself before when it happened to me.

You can go to Edit > General Preferences > Interface > Launch Behavior > Launch to factory state to reset.

I tried that first thing...Launching to Factory State did not correct the problem.
I will probably have to resort to a New Installation.

It's strange that the factory state reset didn't work. Are you sure it was the factory state setting on the Interface tab that you ticked, and not just the one on the Document tab?

Another possibility....

Poser uses XML files to store the position of each part of the UI within each Room. You just need to find the right entry in the right XML file and edit the vertical (Y) position to somewhere where you can then pick it up and drag it to where you really want it.

I'm at work right now and I don't have Poser here, but if you would rather do this than re-install Poser, I can look up which file and entry you need to edit, when I get home. Just leave a note here. Or maybe some other kind soul will tell you in the meantime.

Try resizing the monitor to a higher resolution that might give enough space to get a hold of the tool bar and move it down

The sizing isn't the issue, motox. The Poser UI is confused when you move the dragging area of a tool onto the "room" tabs. It will no longer let you grab the tool.

Factory reset should work - I think you should try again as you may not have clicked what you thought you clicked.

Also, if you happened to save any presets (that little 3x3 group of buttons) try clicking them. They might get you back to how you had things before.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

I had this happen to me a few weeks ago and the only thing that worked was resizing the monitor. Changing resets didn't work for me at all. By resizing the monitor it put just enough space between the tool bars for me to get ahold of the one I wanted to move .
