Subject: Daz3D/Poser import textures too?

The object I'm trying to import doesn't even complain about missing textures. The object is divided into 3 folders, runtime and other 2. I can't rig it manually, just too many textures.

Would it theoretically work using a model convertor to convert it to .3ds or .obj? I guess the program would have to detect the texture links of the poser or DAZ3d model first.

If you have Poser you can set the object up and save it as a .pz3.

This way it would come into Studio as fully textured.

Otherwise you would have to texture each node.

Ok update on this.

I also found the .pz2 files of it. For Vue I need to make it a .pz3 apparently.

So now I'll either download Poser or Daz Studio hoping that upon conversion it has full texture links.

I've always had HUGE texture mess importing .3ds files...

What .obj are you trying to import into Vue?  If you have it set up for Poser imports you should be able to import it and then use Vue to find the textures for it.

Ok I've done it. I downloaded Daz Studio unregistered and managed to load the .cr2 file with which the model is supposed to eb loaded. I let Daz Studio export the model and copy it's maps. Working like a charm now.
