nikogr ( ) posted Tue, 18 August 2009 at 5:35 AM · edited Thu, 06 February 2025 at 4:35 PM

I recently install poser 7 pro and now I am wonder: what about the runtime from my previous poser version. How can move 50Giga to poser Pro??  Must be something that I am missing here?  Can any one help me??

Thank you all.

Don't move anything!!!!!

Run Poser 7 Pro, on the Library pallet you'll see a blue folder with an arrow pointing upwards, double click on that, you should now see 2 Blue folders Poser Pro & Downloads.

At the bottom of the pallet you'll see a tick & a + click on the + & use the browse box that appears to find your previous runtime folder, hit the ok button once you've found it & it should add the runtime into Poser Pro.

After that you can use the up arrow folder item to go between the runtimes.

In situations like this, it is best to use runtime folders from other versions as external runtimes.  Otherwise, you will need to reinstall all your content into your current program.  Keep in mind, extremely large content folders will slow down your app considerably.  Creating smaller external runtimes will ease the burden.

BTW, there is no beast called Poser 7 Pro; it is either Poser 7 or PoserPro.  Although they are similar in appearance, there are some added features in PoserPro not found in Poser 7.
