Subject: Can V4 have an overbite?

jeffg3 ( ) posted Mon, 12 October 2009 at 8:49 PM · edited Tue, 12 November 2024 at 3:06 PM

Can V4 have an overbite? I'm looking for morphs that will push the lower jaw back and give the familiar overbite/weak chin appearance.

So far I've found zilch.

I think I can make one pretty easy. Post a pic of it.

Ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

I have been playing with it and we need to make a morph for it. I can do that now if I had a good pic.

This is a quick on I did - has a morph for the chin and lower jaw. I based it on a pic from Google so it looks like an older lady's chin

Sorry - I've been out. That look really cool.

I'm looking for something along these lines:

Even the lower lip sort of retreats.

The tooth overbite is easy: upper and lower jaws can be moved independently, so just move the upper jaw out a bit (or lower in).

How?

None of the Jaw morphs seem to hit it correctly.

I must be missing something.

Select the lower jaw and use the translate parameter dials to move it around

How about if you just select the head and then use the JawInOut morph to give an overbite, then there's no need to mess about with the upper and lower jaw's dials at all. Does that give the effect you are after? Here's a quick anim showing the JawInOut morph being used (from value 0 to 1.5) then opening the lips and mouth better to show before finally closing the mouth to show the teeth overbite at the end if that helps any.

If you can't see the effect properly on the YouTube vid, here's the anim in a zip file for you to look at at your leisure if it helps. It's about 85kb. Save it without the .txt extension to get the zip.

That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Where is the JawInOut morph?

I must be blind.

The one you need is "chin depth" in the "Lower Face"  morphs

Actually I found it - JawIn-Out under Morphs|Expressions > Base
