as long as you are using the old terragen, 0.9 x, there is an exporter either on the save dialogue or available where all the plugins are found, and it exports .lwo and .raw.... I've tried the .lwo and it worked fine in Imagine3D and what works in Imagine often works in Bryce
Sorry if this is a bit sketchy but I don't have any terragens on this box any more..devoted to the net... ...

I've converted Terragen terrains to Bryce (probably Terragen .84 and Bryce 5.0), but the scale was way off (Bryce used to bring everything in at one Bryce unit; hence, mountain ranges in a box...;)
If you do get terrify and bring the bmp as a grayscale pic, you should be able to use that as a template to make Bryce terrains. But then Bryce does the same thing all on it's own; perhaps you're going for something specific?

I realise this is bordering on heresy but why not dl the Terragen2Free version and do it in terragen itself? It comes with trees and a grass patch object as well as imports .obj quite well.. ...

btw.. the free version can'tt let you render in large sizes..
Indeed Rosie...that's the one fly in the ointment and it is a bit more pricey than Bryce but still less so than Vue. For my money in a lot of ways it is the superior renderer but it is most definatelty not a modeler, so Bryce wins there.. ...

Can someone advise how I can load Terragen terrain files into Bryce 6? I simply want to do a comparison between the two progs to determine which gives best results - and a standard file seems to be the best way.
