Subject: Audacity 64 bit version?

Im looking for a 64 bit version of Audacity.Ive been to, the site and its not very clear-there is reference to 64 version but cant actually find the version

According to them, there is no 64 bit specific version for Mac or Windows and only an experimental one for Linux. That's as of l0 days ago.

Are you on a Mac? perhaps you read this:

"We strongly recommend the Beta version of Audacity for 64-bit systems. "

It's maybe a bit confusing & seems to suggest a 64 bit version, but I think they just mean use the beta if you have a 64 bit system. If you look at the beta's system requirements, "Audacity runs best with at least 64 MB RAM and a 300 MHz processor." I think that rules out it being 64 bit version. I'm just guessing here though.

Yes I think your right here,ill have to look for something else for audio recording,thanks again .

Why? I've been using audacity on 64 bit windows 7 ultimate for months without issue.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.
