I have some rigging work in Poser to do though admittedly I'm pretty bad at it. If anyone is interested and wants to take a shot at a rigging job, please send me a PM to get the details.

Very cute, LOL!

Two questions. One, has the figure been grouped for rigging? Two, could you show us an image with Smoothed Lined Diasplay Style?

What method do you use when rigging?

I usually group the mesh in UV mapper,  then use Phi-builder to set the hierarchy and finally in Poser I adjust the joints as best as I can.  Looking at the picture, it might not be such a hard task to rig this character (nice looking character too). Unfortunately, my method will likely destroy the morphs.

D'oh! Why do things that happen to stupid people keep happening to me?

if this is freebie, ya could post the obj file and let various people try to animate the chode figure.  they also need to animate the tentacles, and the knees are almost touching the hip, hence it waddles when it walks.

It has yet to be grouped. So far I've managed to group 1 hand. I'll get an image up shortly.

I'll see about getting it up as a freebie.

So far I've been trying to do it all in Poser. As I said, I'm not very good at it. I'll give those programs a shot though.

Wish I could find the thread. I hate the search here. Anyway... lesbently did a rigging thread reciently for a robot character by a user here. I followed alomg and found it quite helpful. Take a look or ask lesbently if he has the link. It may help you out.

Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

If you're trying to group a model of any complexity completely within Poser you'll be wanting some heavy prescription medication.  Seriously, do the grouping in a modeler that can write grouping info out to OBJ format.  I don't know whether Zbrush can do this but there are many other choices that allow MUCH MUCH EASIER methods of selecting and grouping polygons than Poser's halfassed tool for that.
