Did it fix the sale jerks that made it suddenly impossible to update vue 6 infinite to any later version of Vue?

Most software companies do NOT do this without notice.

This means the loss of support for all the Cornucopia crap that was bought over the years!

E-on has sunk to new lower leverls of greed  & shame.

Not to mention it was exactly the same with 5 -> 8 last year.

I'm guessing your axe will soon be needing a new head 😉

I don't really care about any news letter that I didn't receive.   If eon spent less time with the sales gimmicks (and there are a lot) and more time on stable softeware I wouldn't be upset.  The cornucopia crap doesn't work now because of this cheap trick.  The cornucopia models have been updated for the newer versions of vue so it doesn't work in vue 6.  It is a lot of BS.  This company sucks!  I can't get any of the cornucopia models to work in vue 6.  The trees I bought from e-on are now not supported.  This company has no loyalty.  I hope they go bankrupt soon so they can fire the one programmer they have and put an end to this slow rendering buggy software gimmick.

E-on is the worst software company I have ever dealt with!

I stopped at version 8 and now make sure that content works for 8 (not 8.4, not 8.5, but 8) before buying it.  Martin Frost is great at creating new Vue content that works great on old versions still, while other sellers expect us to have the latest version to use their content (see Quadspinner).

I haven't had a single crash and all the bugs I experienced in the past are gone. This is the best Vue version I have ever had.

Bye... from somebody who cannot be accused of being an E-On fanboy, can't I

GIMP 2.7.4, Inkscape 0.48, Genetica 3.6 Basic, FilterForge 3 Professional, Blender 2.61, SketchUp 8, PoserPro 2012, Vue 10 Infinite, World Machine 2.3, GeoControl 2

so what your saying is, you dont want the information from them, so its their fault that you missed out and that you hate them and their software but you want to keep dealing with them? how very rational.

fact of matter is its 3 versions old now, do you expect microsoft to upgrade/support versions of windows 95? or for people to still make products compatible with windows 95? no.

the c3d models only work in later versions becuase they are made by artists who work in later versions becuase they have more features/capabilities.  It doesnt make sense to encourage people to work with older versions for business and support reasons.

if they suck you hate them etc etc, why do you want to upgrade anyway?   surely you should just give up using their software?

but then this seems to be exactly what you want to hear so you can feel hard done by or something, who knows. enjoy it.

I am now in the third year of maintenance subscription and I am quite happy with it. I think with the price drop to $195 e-on did the right thing. No one can complain about e-on isn't listening to his customers. If I had problems I get fixes almost with the next update. And contact to tech support is very easy.
I don’t know a company who give support to software that is three generations old. In CG Industry the software lifetime is very short! People always want new features. (I want new features) And e-on give me exact what I want.
Vue Infinite is a very complex piece of software and no free of errors. And it will may be never free from errors, but I can life with it. This software are created by humans and no human is perfect. In German we say "Irren ist Menschlich". Again I can life with it.
