In Vue content we have some ecosystems...how to load one of those ecosystems or others with the option "*Dynamic Population*" ?

Thank you for your help ๐Ÿ˜„

choose ecosystem, then when it says "do you want the ecosystems to be automatically populated" select no.

Then open the material editor, select the ecosystem layer from the materials and click "dynamic population" box - its to the right of the button that says populate.

When you render the picture the ecosystem will populate just before it starts rendering, this will take a bit of time to start the render becuase it has to process the ecosystem.

Quote - choose ecosystem, then when it says "do you want the ecosystems to be automatically populated" select no.

But it doesn't always ask this question, even in Vue8Infinite ๐Ÿ˜•

Suppose I have a big terrain, ... so I get a crash 'cause the ecosystem is not loaded in "dynamic population.

Is there a way to modify something in the options?

dont think so, when it starts populating just press the esc button on your keyboard and it will stop the population process.

Reset your messages in Vue so that it will warn you about not using Dynamic Popluation again in the future.

Also, point the camara away from the horizon so that your Dynamic Population doesn't turn into regular population.ย  The horizon is too vast of an area to make Dynamic Population of any help.

Hello ShawnDriscoll,

What do you mean by saying:"Reset your messages in Vue so that it will warn you about not using Dynamic Popluation again in the future."?That's to say: how to reset my messages in Vue...?

ShawnDriscoll,

You said too:"Also, point the camara away from the horizon so that your Dynamic Population doesn't turn into regular population. The horizon is too vast of an area to make Dynamic Population of any help."
Could you show me a screenshot?

Thank you for your help ๐Ÿ˜„

Think of it this way.ย  If the horizon is in your camera's frame, Vue is going to plant a tree until that horizon is littered with them.ย  If a mountain blocks that horizon, a lot less tress will be planted in your Dynamic Populated camera view.

If you have gobs of RAM and 64-bit, maybe using Dynamic Population is not an option.
