Ok, apologies if I'm being a bit slow here but I have a problem with searching on this site.

Here's an example from today. 

Checking out the Lusitana thread by 3dream I noticed a link to the starter pack by zincster in the freebies here [Link Removed By BobbyStahr]. Followed the link and downloaded set.

Now here comes the fun bit, and where I may be being a bit stupid.

I then tried to find it without the direct link. Searched the site for zincster with 'Search Renederosity:' and it says he has no freebies. Followed the link to his homepage which also says he has no freebies. Searched site for Lusitana and it does not appear in the freebies that do get listed.

Went to freebies section and searched on 'Lusitana' and 'starter' neither of which brought it up in the results found. Searched on zincster there and it returns 4 items from 2008.

Went to 'Freestuff: Whats New' and paged through to 8th March (the date it was uploaded) and it is not there. This is the one that really got me banging my head on the table.

Any idea what am I doing wrong? Is it something simple?

Nothing to do with your methodology.

Thanks for pointing out the link in the thread is still live.

No worries.

It just makes me wonder what else I'm missing. If I buy an older item in a sale, say a hair model in the current sale, I will do a search to see if there are any textures for it. This is making me doubt the results of those searches.

FYI zincster's freebies have disappeared as his contributions are under review. Please don't lose confidence in the freestuff and the search function. We, in Freestuff, have been working to get uploaders to follow the conventions of catagories we have defined in order for the search engine to work accurately. I do correct mis labelled items when they come in and jumpstartme2 has been really fast on creating new sub catagories [ie: antonia and luisutana etc.] when new models pop up, but members have to check the correct boxes upon upload in order for the system to work....

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again
