Hi Poser People

I got this pair o pants right, and try as I might I just cant get rid of that jagged edhe when I bend her leg.  Any genius ideas?  Or is it something that we put up with, cos I've seen it in lots of pants.

You should know by now, that the old-timers never answer important questions like this, while they love to answer beginners questions for some reason.. ;)

After you have used the AutoGroup Editor or OBJ2CR2 or whatever you use, open the OBJ in your preferred modeller and correct the grouping mistakes. There is no way in the world to avoid this. Then, to do the rigging you need the right donor file. 'Stylin for M4' works well for Michael. Usually there is no problem with V4 if the grouping is right.

Thanks Vintorix, I appreciate the feedback.

I've tried a couple of different groupings for this so far, I think I will give it another go though.  The pants are for V4 so I shall just persist until it's down to as little distortion as possible.

John.

How do you do the grouping? With your modelling program, in the grouping editor or AutoGroup Editor or what?

I got autogroup editor to start me off, then adjusted the groups in AGE before exporting.

That's making me very curious, as you seem to do everything right. I very much would like to have a look at that mesh allthough I understand if you don't want to.

it may be that I have too much of a hip group between her legs, though I was getting the same issue when I had only 2 lines of polys down there (I have 4 now, which seemed to improve things).

I have also adjusted the inner mat sphere on her thigh a little, but again this only seems to have improved the situation.

It may be that I'm missing something of course :) which is why i asked the question.

When I get myself home I'll drop you a pm regarding the mesh, if thats ok.

John
