The Project
I am currently taking an instructional design class at Boise State University, and I've decided to develop a course on stereoscopic imaging using DAZ Studio for my final project. This will be a free course; I plan to give the class at the Origins Game Fair next year, and will make the video and presentation freely available to the 3D community.
Stereoscopic images create an illusion of depth by using two offset images (one for each eye). Here is an example of a stereoscopic image I created using the cross-view method.
If you don't know how to view cross-view 3D images, instructions can be found here. Basically, you focus on the space between you and the image, so that your left eye is looking at the right image while your right eye looks at the left. Note that this same basic approach can be used to produce 3D video and images.
What I Need From You
I am currently in the needs-analysis phase of the course development, and I need some feedback from experienced animators of all skill levels. I have a short (about 5 minute) survey posted on SurveyMonkey, and I'm asking the community to participate.
Survey Link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/55DVXPM
The survey is anonymous, but I left a space where you can write your forum name if you want to be contacted for follow-up questions.
Thank you in advance to those who help me with my data collection. Your feedback will really help me make the course the best it can be.
