Hello,  I have been trying to get some of the above into C8 with little luck so far!

The obj loads fine. from the drop down menu load obj.

The textures ???

Typical folder from Xfrog consists of.

OBJ

MTL

TIFF.

I wanted to create a spot in the browser folders for additional trees and shrubs.but these are not Runtime files so dont seem to be able to add them?

Very grateful for any help....thanks for reading

If all those files are in the same folder it should work if you do file>import.

Then you can add the tree as an object under the browser object tab by dragging and dropping.

Several of the older xFrog sets did not import well into Carrara. Something about how they were saved into .obj files - the .mtl file had a different directory address hard coded into it. So, for those sets, you simply have to manually rejoin the textures.

I have one set where that happened so, for each item, I saved them into an xFrog Browser directory within Carrara and can simply drag and drop them.
