Does anyone know what's causing the error? It started right after I deleted 3 props from the user objects menu.  I tried several different props & got the same message with all of them.

You have saved too many things into one library. This has unfortunatly ruined your library. There are methods for recovering the library, but I don't have the ability to explain them. Try Rashad Carter at the DAZ Bryce forum.

Thanks Much.. I wondered it that might have been the problem ..  No worries on losing the props. They're all saved on the pc.  I'll check on how to fix it at the DAZ forum.

I have a whole folder devoted to these. Most of them have been models from older bryce files that the new system won't recognise for whatever reason. Save each model to a separate bryce image file named for the model, example: Castle Ruin. Place each in a folder for future use. When needed open the image, click on the mesh, control/Copy under edit, reopen the image you want the model in and do control/Paste. Somehow it doesn't make sense that you can open old image files but not have the ability to save the meshes. In some images I have actually come across situations where one mesh would save and another would not from the same image!

its allmost impossible to know how many objects, skys, materials you can save into one librabrary. or at least thats my experience. so keep the number low, and mak new libraries instead.

I always stop at fifty before the scroll bar appears. No point in having to scroll down to see the previews.

When you delete from a directory Bryce just marks out the name. The object stays and so does the file size. The only way to shrink the file is to export the remaining objects then import them into an empty folder. I leave the User file empty. When I need a new directory I go into the windows file manager, Copy the User directory, Paste the copy, then rename the folder and the obp file inside what I want.

i remember years ago when i got b6. this had me scratching my head a lot. there should be a warning at the download site about this. lol

Using the multi-rep function I created an image file with 10 squares across, 5 lines deep. Each has a different material. The image is named Mat 1 and is saved with my regular bryce images in a folder for mats. The same thing can be done for objects albeit on a smaller scale. Having to do work-arounds for problems that should have been fixed years ago seems an indigenous problem with Bryce.
