Subject: INFINITO: a revolutionary plugin for Daz Studio !

papillon68 ( ) posted Sun, 04 September 2011 at 5:35 PM · edited Sat, 03 August 2024 at 4:14 PM

INFINITO is a Daz Studio 3/4 plugin (still under development) that allows to create detailed and stunning 3D terrains and easily populate them using all the props available in your Daz Studio libraries.
INFINITO will definitely revolutionize the way you work with Daz Studio, bringing innovative tools and infinite possibilities.
INFINITO interface is user-friendly and extremely easy to use: you will enjoy experimenting with the TERRAFORM module, fiddling with all the options and parameters available; and after that, sculpt the terrain with your mouse, and POPULATE it just painting and brushing single or multiple props, or even deploying ecosystems automatically.
And when you are satisfied with it, click the CREATE button and see INFINITO creating your Daz scene automatically for you!
No more hours spent exporting and importing terrain models or textures from external applications, manually positioning props, figuring proper height and angles. INFINITO will do that for you!

Be sure to watch the following movies to see how INFINITO works!

I suppose that the deploying props are instances of the originals....like the coconut trees in your video But when Infinito export to main DAZ area  how are the objets count and memory usage??

Sure it remains me a mix of Geocontrol and Vue d'esprit infinite which they normally are more complete (i use VUE since version 2)

But this pluging bring a nice opportunity to DAZ studio if using props instances to populate the scene

Hi, yes the interface is very simple to use and yet provides very powerful algorithms to generate random terrains and populate them. :-)

Well, INFINITO is the work of one person and is not surely going to compete against Vue. But I believe it will be a very useful addon to DS.

To answer your question, props loaded to main DAZ viewport will not be instanced, at least for now.

Instancing might be possible, but in order to enable that I need some cooperation from DAZ developers. If that will happen, I'll be glad to add it as a feature to INFINITO.

I hope the DAZ developpers will be with you in this feature

For a one person work: Bravo !

Your are righ about the fact it will be usefull in Daz studio .I have used many land  generators or terrain meshs in Poser ,none for now in DazStudio. The last one i  have used is TerraDome from RDNA :it is good but no ecosystem plugin to populate it.

Ok It is not the main purpose of Poser or DazStudio  But putting directly characters  and vegetations in a background is nice for people who don't have VUE d'esprit....even for someone like me who import Poser files in VUE

Tease!  But I am looking foward to your release of Infinito.  It looks be be an extremely useful plug-in for those of us who use Daz 3 exclusively.

still useless if you would do animations, without floor collision detection to genesis mesh.

genesis figure feet move true the terrain generated plain mesh.

but there is hope :)
