Hello,
We can appreciate your concern and thank you for taking time to let us know your opinion. However, we’ve found that by including Facebook tools on various pages of the Renderosity site allows for greater interaction amongst our community members.
As you probably know, Facebook is the most popular Social Networking tool and both buyer and seller find this to be a valuable resource to share information about a product, promote a product, recommend it to a friend, etc.
If you’re concerned about Facebook tracking cookies, you can choose to log out of your Facebook account before shopping in the Renderosity MarketPlace.
Thank you and have a great weekend!

Maybe you could have a configurable option and have Facebook be an "opt-in" kind of thing that a user could then elect and choose to view?
I don't have a Facebook account, but it still doesn't stop Facebook from setting a tracking cookie with a unique ID following me around the Internet.
Something to consider.
The more I learn of Facebook's abhorrent privacy practices the more I concerned I get when I come across Like buttons and login dialog boxes being thrust down my throat.
I can't imagine I'm alone in this regard.
But, if it was something that I could choose to opt-in for (the site's coded in PHP, right? So based on a flag set in the user database if I elect to choose Facebook then only then do you: include('facebook_feature.inc'); in the appropriate spot in the marketplace templates.
Something to consider.

You don't have too connect your FB account with Rendo, this is easy enough to do in your FB settings.
If you need help with how to do so, sitemail me and let me know your stuck and I'll sitemail ya with directions for how to do that over at FB.
That said, getting back to the topic of the thread, um are you sure it's not just your system or isp provider doing something like throttling ya or something.
I only ask because I don't have a problem with the MP loading usually, and I'm using an old dinosaur of a computer. Well I'll go back to lurking in the freestuff and galleries and get outta the forums for about another year or so now. See ya's.

I may (or may not) be in the minority, but I for one do not appreciate Facebook boxes on every single page in the Marketplace.
Not only does it slow down the page load times, but having Facebook installed on the pages allows Facebook to track my web surfing activity and I neither want nor appreciate that Rendo is allowing that to occur.
Rendo should care about one thing and one thing only and that's making the Marketplace more easier to navigate so customers like me can buy products from vendors more easily and efficiently.
