Vue 10 Infinite - Build 10007731 - BETA The following is a list of bug fixes and improvements included in this update:

Publishing Date: EEF 10/24/2011

  • Fixed saving folding status of atmosphere and material in the animation panel. At loading, these two values are now always overwritten by the scene.
  • Fixed a possible crash in scenes with an infinite water plane when the camera is exactly at the height of the sea level.
  • Fixed application of post render settings in the new render display.
  • Fixed a potential freeze when manualy opening the Post Render Options (if stacking was disabled).
  • Fixed a display bug when zooming in the render display (with Post Render options opened), leading to a crash.
  • Fixed disappearing sliders for relighting after reopening the render display + Post Render Options.
  • Fixed other glitches in the new render display (post render settings were "cancelled" when re-opening the render display manually if stacking was disabled).
  • Fixed a bug when browsing previous renders and editing their Post Render Options.
  • Improved translucency to better match results from previous Vue versions.
  • Fixed potential black dots at render with invalid mesh UV coordinates.
  • Removed unexpected warning about multiple scattering when physical transparency model is used for water surfaces.
  • Changed path to default rock to prevent a warning when adding the first rock.
  • Improved User Interface in spline editor (spline terrain width).
  • Fixed second action icon (store snapshot to slot) in the Basic material editor.
  • Fixed a potential crash when closing the application.
  • Added a rock browser in the "Replace By" -> "Rock..." entries (with/without fitting).
  • Fixed material OpenGL preview with image node and projected animation node.
  • Fixed potential black dots at render when using the fast ocean physical transparency mode.
  • Fixed Vue remembering checkbox status even when the user clicked on "Cancel" in a message box.
  • Prevented a possible crash when using object replace by menu (and convert to area light).
  • Fixed a potential dead-lock when interrupting a render.
  • Fixed unexpectedly closed render display when interrupting a render with Esc key.
  • Improved User Interface in Render Display: default render comparison difference ratio is no longer zero. Also show the comparison line when the comparison has just been activated.
  • Fixed application of relighting to renders stacked in previous sessions of Vue, and to their clones.
  • Fixed auto-exposition on stacked renders with relighting.
  • Fixed application of post render options in the main view.
  • Fixed a possible crash when using "replace by".
  • Fixed unexpectedly reset global wave control mode when editing the water surface function.
  • Added 2 options when the render stack is full: 1. increase the size of the render stack; 2. discard oldest renders.
  • Fixed a potential crash with scenes that has objects with normal mapping but no color image.
  • Allow disabling material animation for gel materials.
  • Fixed various problems with render info bar related to the new render display.
  • [MacOS] Fixed possible crashes when starting to drag material preview or when dragging an object from the Finder into Vue's World Browser.
  • [MacOS] Fixed loading an image into an "Image mapping node" in the function graph.
  • [MacOS] Fixed resume render info incorporation into scene files.
  • [MacOS] Fixed permissions for all files written by Vue (now readable by all instead of user-only).
