Subject: V4 Shoe Problems

markwhy ( ) posted Wed, 21 December 2011 at 8:57 AM · edited Fri, 31 January 2025 at 12:39 PM

I'm a relative newbie, but having problems keeping v4 shoes to stay conformed with changes in the main character pose.  I use v4 with all the extra morphs.  I tend to use the leg length morph, to the maximum.

After each change in character pose, I usually have to select each shoe and adjust scaling on the thigh or shin to get the shoe to approximately accurate position (vertically).  This problem occurs with almost all shoes from different vendors.

This is very time consuming to do all the time.  Is there a better solution?

The do not have the morphform in the shoe cr2, if you are using poser 8 or higher Select to Include scales in conforming under properties.

And if you're using previous versions of Poser, it won't work at all, just FYI.

If you have an older version you can use this script http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=50718

I should have mentioned this the first time.

I have the same problem when using "leg length".  I'm going to give the suggestions above a try in PP2012.  It would be nice to fix that problem when the leg length is changed.

I always add it to my content but most content creators just do not bother. You can add it just copy the yScale for the thighs and shins from the character cr2.

Top image is without applying the "Include Scales"  The bottom is with it checked in the properties of Catalina High Heels.  Works perfectly.

Edit:  I had leg length set to 0.7

Thank you all!   The Include Scaling When Conforming option appears to work well on first attempt.

I did notice another checkbox in properties, which is unchecked.  It is an Include Morphs When Conforming option.  Should that also be checked?

The second box only needs to be checked if the clothing crosstalk is broken, or it was never set up for crosstalk.

If the clothing has the morphs and changes when you change a morph setting in the base figure then you do not need that checked.

Cheers and Happy Holidays
