Subject: Reality 2 exporting materials and lights without rendering

martial ( ) posted Tue, 27 December 2011 at 5:31 AM · edited Wed, 21 August 2024 at 7:30 AM

bonjour

I am using Reality 2 plugin in DAZStudio 4 pro

First time i use it, everything was good using your simple steps in user guide (page 13 -16) :lux render was openned et rendering ok

Since then, i have tried many time with differents scenes with one caracter ,using reality lights or dazStudio light : click reality render, the reality plugin open and when i click render frame i see above the message '' exporting materials and lights'' but nothing else during long time ( i have waited two hours today)

Lux render not open like i have seen the first time

I didn't change nothing in realty parameters,Luxrender is located where i see in the Reality windows. I click on Luxrender.exe to see if it is working :it load ok

Any idea about this situation ??

i never meet this when i was using Realty 1,25 with DS3

Thanks

Someone on the site of Reality give me a simple explication (thank Maddoctor):

''Do you have the "Overwrite Warning" checked? It's on the Output tab of Reality. If the answer is yes then when you start a new render you see the warning "The scene file or image file already exist in the destination path. Do you want to overwrite them?". If you press the "No" button, the message "Exporting Materials and lights…" will stay near the bottom of the Reality window forever confusing you thinking that you pressed "Yes" instead.

I think you might be confused because usually the "Yes" option is left and "No" is right but in the Reality window it's reversed.

The moral of the story is: always read the messages before you press a button''

That was the problem
