Subject: Dissapointed With M5's Endowment

Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

I purchased M5 on Friday and just installed him last night.  I bought the Pro Bundle so I could have the M5 Genetailia.  While I'm generally happy with the options for it, the scaling slider seems very limiting.  I was wondering if anyone else had this feeling.  While I think the scale is may be more "average" the rest of his physique has well above average options.  I will have to compare with the 3rd party gens I bought at Renderotica.  I was also having trouble applying the texture maps to the Gens and was wondering if only M5 specific gens maps will work--while M5 takes M4 maps, it doesn't seem to want to take the M4 Genital maps and there isn't an option for adapting that to the M5 version.

So consequently I've very dissapointed.  V5 has all sorts of breast enhancement/shaping/size options--so what did they make M5 so limited?

Have you tried to override the size limitaitions? you double click on the little star on the right of the parameter you want to make larger and uncheck respect limits.  I don't have M5 at all so I can't check this myself.

I'll have to give that a go, I wasn't aware of the ability to turn limits off.

in the  dials, click on the gear and change how far it can be dialed to increase or decreased. can be done for them all

the gens are m5 uv mapped only

but they have been remapped and you can get this freebie here

Beware, too much resizing causes it to get a funny shape referred to as the "kazoo" problem. MaleMedia is working on a morph package that will fix that, and give us some other important options as well.

As to the other question -- well, any basement-dwelling nerd'll tell ya, boobs are waaaay more important than bippys. Guess the nerds in the Daz basement are no exception. ;-)

Byrdie I'm well aware of the weird distortions one can get--M1/M2 was especially prone to "kazooing"--but some people had some decent morph add-ons that solved that problem.  I guess I must be patient since Genesis is so new it's not reached it's full potential yet.

Yeah, ol' Mike may have had the muscles but he was also a bit underprivileged elsewhere. ;-)  Anyways, if you're interested, Poisen (not quite sure how s/he spells it) over at R'otica has a set of morphs for the M5 genitals that give them a bit more "oomph". Same vendor also has morphs for V5's hoo-ha if anyone's interested. Hopefully there'll be more to come -- I've seen some nice :cough: pinup gear that would look good on Genesis based characters but alas it's only for the Gen 4s. And while I still buy plenty of M4 and V4 stuff, it's the things that won't work in autofit -- like shoes and boots -- that make me think twice about a product because now I want to use it in two programs whereas before it just needed to work in Poser.

Hmmm ... using two programs. Does that make me bi-D? ;-)

I'd just about given up on Daz Studio after having a rough time with Daz Studio 2 and 3 and frequent crashes and content issues.  This version seems much more stable, but I my heart still belongs to Poser--it was one of my first 3D apps and I still love it.

Same here, I plain hated 2 and 3 Advanced was an improvement but wouldn't run right on my old system. Now I have a new(ish) machine and Daz 4 Pro on it. I must say I like it much better than the previous incarnations. Only one crash so far, but I think I did something stupid there, not Studio. Probably confused the poor thing, but to be fair I've addled Poser a time or twenty as well.

Strange with a figure called Genesis without genitals? LOL.
