I just started working with Daz studio 4, and I purchased a product for a male character on renderosity and it installed great, but when i load his mats, I am getting 2 noses and 2 lips and I don't know how to fix this. any suggestions?

As stated in the sticky thread, you need to open the Surfaces pane (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Surfaces), click on the entry for Genesis in its side bar to select all surfaces, and then for UV Set select Michael 4.

Its probably an M4 mat.  Have you looked at the UV setting in Genesis>Surfaces.

Try M4.

Depending on what problem you are having with the clothing it could be a number of things.

If it's the clothes that came with Daz4 and you are loading that into the scene with the Genesis figure (that came with Daz4) make sure you have Genesis selected in the scene before loading the clothes. If Genesis isn't selected and you load clothing once you move Genesis the clothing item probably won't follow it's movements. If you discover this to be the problem you can select the clothing item in the preview pane, right click and select fit to and from the drop down menu select Genesis.

If it's a clothing item for a generation 4 figure (that doesn't come with Daz 4 but you bought it) Genesis has to be selected and once the clothing item starts to load the auto fit pop up should come up and ask you who was the clothing item originally made for. You will have to know if it was for Michael 4, Victoria 4, The kids 4 and so on. Once you figure out who the clothes were for you select what type of clothing item it is. The conversion from a gen 4 person to Genesis takes a few moments.

To change textures of a clothing item (if this is the problem), the clothing item has to be selected in the preview pane, then you find the folder for the different textures in smart content or content library. The textures should apply with no problem if they are selected.
