Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 04 7:42 pm)
This happens to me quite frequently. I don't know why. I've got into the habit of spawning a morph on the dynamic clothing to take the place of the simulation because I can't count on the simulation working when I reload a scene.
If someone else knows why this happens, or how to prevent it, I'd be very interested as well.

Fabiana - there is one trick someone told me and which does seem to work (sometimes).
Select the dynamic cloth and press delete. Then do an Undo. This might bring back the cloth in simulated position.
I have had this problem once a while since Poser 8 (mostly with older scenes). Newer scenes are usually ok.
If I have lots of simulations in one scene, I also do the same thing as moriador - spawning a morph - that way I don't have the recalculate if the sim gets destroyed (accidentily or otherwise)
Yeah the spawn is the best option... for sure, and saves you lot of time and even allow to re-collide the clothing with the already done simulation... thanks, all good advices, will make it now to see what happen :)

Don't tell me that I am wrong if I say I saw pointed ears this
morning, in my mirror... they are there.
Yup - I've been tending to spawn a morph too... once I'm happy with the way its simulated and everything is posed.
I'll quite often then delete the cloth simulation altogether... on the basis of freeing up a little system resource... as I tend to have a lot going on per scene...
...that can cause more hassle of course if I end up wanting to adjust the pose a fraction after that.

Hello
I just noticed that I saved some pz3 with dynamic items there, all simulations done and even rendered... but now I open the files again and even the .dyn file is exactly in the same place where Poser saved it with the pz3, is not being readed and the dynamic item appear as not "draped" or "collided" as it properly was. Any clue????
thanks!!!
