I love it always need a place for my bats to hang out looks like a bed and breakfast for them. I just got this guy in last week looks like a pulitzer coming my way soon as I write up the publicaiton for the scientific journal. I'll have to see what he looks like in yellow spandex the X-batIf you talk to the Animals, they will talk with you. And you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them. Thats cool. I'm no bat expert... but these are a wild species? I'm not 100% sure if you are fooling around, so forgive me if thats a stupid question... I looked up the scientific name and no results, so if this is for real (once again excuse my ignorance), congratulations on your discovery! If you have more info on it I'd be interested in reading more about it.
It is really hard to make tiny spandex suits... I have such a hard time sewing the sexy lingerie for the chinchillas... That really only makes sense if you read my Readmes.
Not that any of the extra stuff that I include in my readmes makes any sense.
PS... they don't have any super powers... right?.. it would be cool if they could fly or see in the dark... or something cool like that.
One other question... that is a bat that looks like a skunk... right? Not a flying skunk that looks like a bat... I once threw a skunk at someone and if you ever want to imagine something going not exactly the way you thought it might, well that was one good example... I really would hate to have to deal with a species of flying skunks... almost as bad as flying monkeys... who not only throw poop, but also use tactical bombing techniques to subdue their foes.
no it's a joke I rehab or rescue bats and research them I'm working on a book to be out soon http://www.fewerr.org/PDF/bookfly1.pdf
This particular bat is a big brown very common bat in your attic found throughout the world. this one I figured got into some chlorox or maybe pool chlorine but after a week now I think it's a natural rareity. just like you get an albino you get a bat with strange colors. liek Jay Leno and his black spot in his gray hare. or is it a white spot in his black hair. you can see some of my bats on
http://www.youtube.com/radarfoxbat
my bats narrate their own movies. Well bats do have a super power they can echolocate our military have been studying it for years it's where we came up with sonar for our submarines. I'd like to produce something like this but don't think I can get Britney Spears as my singer http://fewerr.org/Movies/Bat_Echo_MTV.mov
The name I came up with is Mephitis is the Genus for a stripped skunk Eptesicus is the Genus for Big Brown Bat Fuscus is the species Big Brown Bat so it made sence to name it Mephitis Eptesicus Fuscus. The only way a skunk and bat could make something like this would be in a mad scientist lab splicing genes.
I'm currently working on an animation with Bela lugosi current Batman and Manbat Poser models on a debate how people interpret their safety and fear of bats because of them. and ov course a few real US bats to tell their side of things. kind of like that clip they did for the movie ratatoie they did a 30 minute clip of the rats telling the true story of rats and how they got here and the good and bad they really can do.
My organization on of the services we produce is educational movies especilly on bats.I've been studying them for over 30 years as a hobby. I have several stories I wan tto animate so learning all these programs to get them out there. really getting into Zbrush and hopte to create a bunch or characters with it. But I'm scrounging models where ever I can to put it together.

Or in a recent case flying around my bedroom... Mr. Batty happened to be found by my (then) five year old daughter, who went in there to watch TV... You may have actually heard her scream all the way over in Oklahoma... The best part is, she freaked out because she thought it was a moth(apparently our moths grow real large)... she had no problem with the little guy when she found out he was a bat... just as long as it was not a moth.
Bats- Okay... Moths- not okay. Giant Bloodthirsty Space Moths- Really, really, really NOT okay.
I love bats and my daughters are big fans of them, since the ones around here love to eat mosquitos... and the mosquitos love to eat my daughters.
Anyway... Thanks for caring for bats (I mean that, they are very important and way too often feared and mistreated)... I don't know if you need a Bat Box, but I posted one today... The bats should have a proper home... no, roachy digs...
The model is based on a real one (actually 3 or 4) I made a few years back... I never had any bats inhabit them, only wasps and earwigs. I used to say the Bats were too picky, but it may just be where I hung them... around here they seem to prefer living near some of the swampier marshlands... blocks away, but probably much more buggy. At least thats what I hope is the reason... I fear many of the bats around here may have succumb to that white nose syndrome (fungus?). I still see them around though... hopefully they will get some protection by NYS before it is too late.
You can find the model at my ShareCG Gallery (click the banner) or copy paste this:

Good Luck!
PS- Mr Batty (I didn't actually name him that) was gently captured in a large butterfly net and released unharmed.

Sleep soundly knowing that heroine overdoses and tiny drive-by shootings are whittling away at your pest population, one bug at a time!
This is a slightly improved version of a model I made as a joke in a thread in DAZ's old forums, a few months ago, so don't expect too much detail. I actually spent more time on the promos than the model. You might want to scale it down slightly if it is too big looking.
I did not test it in DAZ Studio yet, but it should work alright in it.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE A REAL LIFE VERSION! Doing so may reduce your property value and lead to gang violence between rival pests.
Enjoy!
