Subject: Efficient use of mirrors in a scene?

I'm re-creating a bar scene that has lots of mirrors on the walls. Anyone have thoughts/ideas on creating mirrors that wont create a nightmare for rendering. Im concrened that lots of mirrors will take forever to render

It will definitely slow it down ;)

You can lower the reflection quality to 0.1. That will speed up the render. You can also limit the number of raytraces to 3 or 4 so reflections won't go on forever (if the mirror reflect eachother)

limit the raytrace bounces. a setting of 1 will give you direct reflections while 2,3,4 will give you reflections of reflections. How this will look depends on how the scene is set up and where your camera is.

An infinite regression of two mirrors reflecting each other will need a very high bounce count and tons of render time.
