Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 11:02 am)
I don't use GoZ for Poser, but rather colorcurvature's PML; however, the basic principle should be the same. Import morphed V4 into Zbrush, press the clone button for the Tool. Import the dress into Zbrush. Clone it as well. Load V4 from the tool pallet. Append Subtool and select the dress. Now the dress is on the figure. Make your changes to the dress. Hide the figure subtool and maybe you can GoZ the altered dress back into Poser.

I keep hearing about colorcurvature's PML but I'm not quite sure what it is... If I recall from reading older posts about ZBrush and Poser I remember a lot of attempts at and discussion of creating morphs on posed figures. Any connection? If so what is the compatibility of PML, ZBrush versions, OS, Python, etc?
Quote - Hello to all.
Using GOZ i have no problem importing the entire V4 in zbrush, create a morph of the body and bring it back in Poser working perfectly.
The problem appears when I need to alter "a dress" to fit previous V4 body morph.
My idea is:
I need to import v4 and dress in zbrush to work on her dress seeing the body, otherwise I do not understand what change do to dress...
is this the right idea?
I can not find how to do it and I do not find tutorials on how to do with poser.
Can anyone help me?
When you send the morphed dress from zBrush back to Poser.
You need the dress selected in zBrush subtools.
Just the dress.
Just the dress selected in Poser
Polycount needs to be the same.
Can't change polycount or topolagy in zBrush.

Save out an obj version of your morphed V4 from poser. Put it on the desktop or somewhere you can keep track of. DO NOT SAVE IT TO THE DAZ GEOMETRIES FOLDER WHERE V4 BASE EXISTS.
DO NOT SAVE IT AS A MORPH.
This acts as your "tailor" dummy in zbrush.
now, send the dress to a fresh instance of zbrush (no other tools loaded) using goZ.
Once the dress is inside zbrush, load another tool onto the canvas, making the dress an inactive tool (use the star, it's easiest).
With the star as your active ztool, import a copy of your morphed V4 directly into the star. It will either replace the star or just append morphed V4 obj as a new subtool.
Select V4 in the subtools menu, making it the active tool.
Switch back to your dress tool.
Append V4 to the dress as a subtool. Create the morph for the dress as needed. Don't subdivide anything.
Once you have the dress morphed to where you need it, DELETE V4 from the subtools pallet.
Use GoZ again on the dress to get it back into Poser.
This method should work.
