Subject: Newbie: need help deleting files I created

datastorm ( ) posted Fri, 17 May 2013 at 4:33 PM · edited Sun, 08 December 2024 at 8:53 PM

I created a scene with Victoria 5 and saved it. When I opened up the "smart content/unassighed" tab I tried to delete what I had saved but daz studio 4.6 pro will not let me.

Is there a way to delete files after you create them?

ALSO

When I startup Daz Studio I get the "Start Learning Now" window.

Even if I select the "don't show this again" button the "start learning now" window keeps popping up whenever I start daz studio.

Is there a way to keep the window from popping up whenever i start daz studio?

I need help (LOL).

thanks

You can't delete scenes from Smart Content, but if you right-click the icon of the scene in Smart Content there is an option "Show in Content Library". Click this and it will take you to the scene files in the Content Library tab view. From there you can right-click and select Delete.

Of course you can go directly to Content Library and find the Scenes folder, but going via Smart Content right-click can be quicker.

I just installed 4.6 and the "don't show again" for "start learning" worked for me. It's a long shot, but assuming you are using Windows, you might try running Studio "as Administrator" (right-click the icon in Start Menu and choose "run as Administrator") then check "don't show again", close Studio and start again as normal. See if that works.

Thanks  FyraNyanser .

Your suggestions were spot on. I also found that to remove the start learning window

there is another window connected to the first where you put in your name. As soon as I did that the ok button became ungreyed and I was able to select the OK button . . .

window gone
