Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 10:00 pm)
Hi Laurie,
That bone only shows up when I try to attach bones in the setup room. If I just load M4 into the pose room and render, the object is not there. It is driving me batty.
I have several M4 period clothing objects modeled for my store but cannot submit them as I cannot get past the setup room to attach bones without that critter appearing.
I was hoping someone has had the same experience and has found a solution. But I guess not.
Quote - It should not be genitalia as I have genitalia unchecked.
Try putting him under a cold shower! Sorry couldn't resist that.
Unchecking genitalia will not remove a genital actor ["bone"] from a cr2, it only makes the figure use alternative geometry with the fun bits removed. I don't have M4 installed at the moment, and can't remember if he comes with genitals. What is the name of the "bone", is it named 'genital'? You should be able to see the name of the "bone" in the Properties tab when you select it, if it is the genitals it will be named 'genital'.
I rarely use the setup room, but to the best of my understanding you should be able to delete the currently selected "bone" in the setup room by pressing the keyboard Delete key.
What is showing in your rendered image, looks to me like it might be the geometry for the bone icon. If that is the case, I have no idea how it got included in the rendered image. P.S.
Deleting a "bone" will not delete the associated geometry from the scene, but it will dissasociate it from the figure.
wasn't there a setting in the cr2 to make things invisible to the body parts selection menu? was a boolean setting.

pappy, I think the bone will be added to the geometry(!!!) of the figure when you leave the setup room. that means that removing the bone from the .cr2 will likely not be enough to fix the problem. you will have to fix the geometry file too, I think.
maybe, if one creates a bodymorph-free copy of the donator figure before using setup room, the bone will not spawn?

Anyone know how to get rid of this critter?
