Subject: Installing daz 3d studio without the daz install manager

I would like to try and install the program without the manager.

Does anyone know where the manager saves the files after downloading ?

I'm using win 7 64 bit...

Open the manager, click on the cogwheel in the upper right corner. Click on the Downloads tab in the window and you should see where DIM saved your files. (Downlaod to)

You can also change it there if you want it someplace else.

Well, I found the folder, but no .exe files in the zips that let me install the program.

Seem like  I only dowloaded plugins and genesis and some essentials, not the program itself...

Will give it another later this evening, it's a really exhausting and frustrating experience....

I'm thinking you have to download the main program from the Daz3D Dashboard at the site-look for Product Library & then select the Daz Studio program to download it from there.

the main daz studio program must be installed

the the download manager(DIM) downloads and intalls the addon files for the program.

these are two separate things.

check your daz account for all the correct installs for ds

ps, dim also only downloads and installs what you have in your account after the main program is downloaded and installled.
