Subject: Installing Runtime folder. Where?

pappy411 ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2013 at 9:53 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 7:42 PM

where do you put the Poser "Runtime" folder in Daz Studio 4.6 and how do I access the runtime contents  once installed?  I cannot find the content folder to put it in anywhere.

I want to place the runtime folder where it will show up in Daz Studio Library.

Studio is installed in my C: program folder and content is on a seperate hard drive with no visible "content" folder.

Thanks,

Pappy

You can put it anywhere - here's what I do

I have one place my Main content goes

It's under a folder called DS.

At the next level are all the DS folder AND the runtime folder

  1. install to that folder

  2. in DS, Go to the Content Library tab

Click on the little icon to the upper right

   Choose CONTENT DIRECTORY MANAGER

  1. Click on either Daz Studio formats or Poser Formats and click add,

Find the folder (in this case pick DS) just ABOVE your runtime and DS files.

Do the same for other runtimes.

Hope this helps :)

Cheers,
Alisa

Thank you Alisa.  I was able to load the .CR2 into Daz Studio directly from the Poser runtime and the object performed well in Studio with all functions working.  I want to place the object in my store for DS but wasnt sure how to tell the customer how to install it properly.

with your instructions You have made my day.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
