....and make sure you check out his other store offerings....great hair stuff which he also sells some of here in the store.
Oh, BTW keep in mind that she just comes as a figure with a cloth top breast covering.
All the other bling bling you goot get her........around. lol
Cool. I have the free Aiko Foal and a few others. Not things I'd use often enough to justify buying one but Cindy looks really nice.
*"… most especially those of the world mythologies like the Satyr, Minotaur and Centaur."*Do you have Pinin's Satyress? Can't find the figure link at the moment but there are some poses for her at ShareCG.

Quote - I suggest you also get the add-on morphs for her.
Cant seem to find those on Ali´s page, any hint?*
I believe those are for Ang2 since Cindy upper human torso was pretty much built on same structure as Ang2. Not all th morphs work obviously but enough of them to be worth getting in my opinion. But contact the artist he is very helpful.
She isn't a DAZ figure the likes of V2, V3 or V4 or specially any of these new ones and has too little community support but she moves nicely, looks nice and plays nice with other Runtime figures. She needs more character and body morphs and more textures and very much in need of props and accessories. I wish she had more support from Ali and community but I am none the less enjoying working with her.

What is the Aiko Foal? Never heard of that? Where can I get that?
Yes I got Pinins but not to pleased with it. There were a lot of morphs and accessories made for her but too toonish for my needs. I did a render of the two side by side to see the differences. I have to say some aspects of PinIns are nice and smooth and some aspects of Bod are nice. I guess it depends on what you like.
I know Ali's BOD was her counterpart created from a SciFi figure in a movie (Sorry I just don't recall which one but I already had BOD when I saw the movie and asked him and he agreed it was the inspiration for her, cool!)
Whew, took a bit of searching. The original thread at DAZ ran to 100 pages so Hemi426 started another one. Glad I looked though as I see there are now ones for K4, The Girl 4 etc. You have to have the Millenium Horse as they are not full figures, rather poses & IIRC transmaps to mate the human figures with the horse. The Aiko Foal is my favorite, very cute.
The new Centaur 'n stuff thread
Haven't tried the Satyress yet. Don't really care for her big horsey feet but I can see her running arounf a Vue forest glade - another virtual mind render I'll probably never do :-)

Yeah I got all that from DAZ way back before the thread was closed reopened and transfered to the new site. The problem with all that stuff is the strain on render resources. You have a MilHuman figure, high poly count and a milHorse figure, also high poly count in one scene. Add backgrounds and other sets, hair, accessorie,s etc. and you'r dealing with a big file. Add other figures and it grows exponentially. With the old Zygote Centaur which as I said I pished to get redistributed after a good fix but never got DAZ to cooperate, or Cindy or even the New DAZ Sagitarious Centaur you are dealing with one figure so even if a high polycount it is complete and easier to wor with in complex scenes.
Ali is planning on getting a male centaur started soon and I am excited to see what he does with it. I hope he makes it so we can work with existing DAZ figures accessories and or textures but I doubt it. His joints seem better than them and it could be a hassle adapting the millenium mess to the new characters. But as I say i am excited of the prospect of finally getting a complete Centaur to work with.

Ah.. ok!
I have previously bought every female model that ali has released, he sure does quality stuff.
Just havent got around buying "Cindy the centaur" yet*,* sure looks good in your render.*
Since I am not a genius at lighting and rendering this was a simple set-up in P7. Imagine what could be done by someone who fully understands lighting and the Materials room set-up.
"Yeah I got all that from DAZ way back before the thread was closed reopened and transfered to the new site."
Ah, I thought you were probably familiar with them I generally render in Vue so not quite the same thing with environments. The figures do add up, but my resources and imagination usually top out at about two. I'd have to look at decimating and putting them in an ecosystem to do a herd. ISTR having a Pan-like Satyr somewhere, maybe even P4 male based. Mightbe able to squeeze him, Satyress and Aiko Foal in together though probably a stretch. Maybe the old goat could be spying on them as they bathed. Hmm, then there's that (V2?) snake woman, the spider woman body … 'Nightmares of Depravity' as Dob Bole said :-)

What pan-like satyr? What satyress?
I have that V2 snakewoman somewhere. Got it when it first came out but I had P4 then and it gave me render crashing pains with some complex work so never installed it. Gotta find that. Of course there was one composite version reeased for V4 as well. Gotta pull that out too. Thanks for the reminders! :)
“What pan-like satyr? What satyress?”
I was referring to the Pinin Satyress. As for the satyr (Hector the Satyr) by Quinlor, I thought he was P4 based but the read me says he was modeled in Wingz: “The satyr figure for Poser is my first content contribution to the Poser community. It has some flaws, but I hope some people may find it useful.” I remember doing a ’classical’ image of him abducting some wood nymph years ago but I don’t remember anything about how well he worked and I’m pretty undemanding so YMMV. I bet you already have him ÷)
Jon Malis’ P4 dwarves were great too. Don’t know if they’re still available anywhere though I think I saw him post something new a few weeks ago. Depending on what you want, with some work some of these older figures can still be useful and certainly less demanding resource-wise than the current stuff.

I have them both but not using them . If you place them in a scene with a mil2 figure and up they look out of place and very toonish. I prefer stuff that looks a bit more "Realistic" anatomically (and no, I don't mean genital anatomically). Some have argued that a Centaur or Satyr are not "real" so it shouldn't matter. But I grew up with these figures deeply engrained in my psyche, drawing them and sculpting them and collecting images and stores of them so I've developed too keen an idea of what my visual expectations are. Mythological characters and stories and art need to therefore look "realistic' in a scene as if created by the same God's hand. Hard to explain. I wish I knew how to create my own figures that ay I wouldn't depend on others sense of "right" or "Real" to get my own thing on.
Just did the Minotaur for M4. Best one yet. Just gotta use it with the creature creator satyr legs to take it to the next level.
I have Jon's figures. I think they were for P4 figures. I think too he created some for either the Mil2 or Mil3 figures. I have all the Mil2 line and still use the basic stuff and though i got most of the Mil3 stuff have not installed them. Hated those damn shoulders and pectoral flaws on them. I think David and Steph were the only two from that series that looked halfway decent.
Quote - And just to betray my age, always remember Dan Cortopassi's mer tails for Vickie & crew, which remain the best imho.
Yeah DanCort had some interesting pieces. At one point DAZ was selling one of his female figures that had hands that morphed nto four fingers. He also created a pose file to go with some of hi normal figures he posted as a freebie without textures at the old Renderotica. I can't say what it was called here (female genital)...Face.
Never used his figures because they just dind't look right either next to V2 and Mike 2.
But, I have them somewhere on discs. :)
"I prefer stuff that looks a bit more "Realistic" anatomically …"
Yeah, that's why I said YMMV. If you're especially passionate about something, you're going to be more demanding. I think it's perfectly valid to want 'real' fantasy, whether it's just your individual vision or based more on the horsey parts of a centaur being accurate or more esoteric questions of how the creature would bend if the horse/human join was at this or that verterbra.
I think Malis' female dwarf is the only one I may still have. Used her as standard bearer for Vickie decked out in the Yoroi armour once. Never really been into dwarvish mythology. Innocent, playful faeries I find appealing. OK, I did get Ghastley's Bondage Faerie things for completeness sake, though they rather outré faeries indeed, especially after reading up on their antics. Yes, I too can plead age in remembering DaCort's stuff. I still have his Undine mermaid figure. I've collected mertails for Vickie, Aiko, Sara, Sadie, PuDoll, Staci … The last group portrait I did was of all my Star Trek femmes years ago. The gathering mermaids would be even bigger.

Do you have a link for Jon's site if it still exists?

I have been using Ali's (Mankahoo) figures for some time now. Started with his lovely free Angela1 and up to my most recent purchase of Cindy the Centauress.
All nicely made figures and worth adding to your Runtime. I love fantasy figures and can't seem to get enough of them, most especially those of the world mythologies like the Satyr, Minotaur and Centaur.
I tried for so long trying to get DAZ to support the old Zygote Centaur but to no avail. Some half hearted attempt to create a new one using the mil characters failed and the idea died with it. I got their Sagitarious and its pretty good but doesn't fulfill all my needs. There was no or little alternative support morphs and accessories for it distributed after the first release.
But Cindy seems, as a feamle Centauress, quite nice out of the box.
Give her a look. If you decide to get her though good out of the box, I suggest you also get the add-on morphs for her.
Have fun.
Oh, BTW this is her with the add-on morph pak and some glitz and props for other figures added on to deck her out right and proper.
