Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
There are a couple of commands that I'm not sure if poser 10 has.. One is the setup room and the other is 'copy joint zones from' in the figure menu. I know it wont let you edit weightmaps but if you have the setup room you can transfer the rig to the clothing item and if you have 'copy joint zones from' you can copy dawns weightmaps as well. What you wont be able to do is adjust or tweak the maps, so you are stuck with whatever the autotransfer gives you. It might get crinkly at some bends but I've found dawns weights to transfer reasonably well with copy joints zones
You wouldnt need wardrobe wizard unless you need to re-shape your item to fit dawn.
I've only used the pro version since PP2010 so its hard for me to say for sure.
Ohhhhh, ok then, I was confused on that then about wardrobe wizard. Yes those two things are in Poser 10, so I shall try it and see if it works. If you transfer the weightmap to the clothing and have it parented to Dawn, will it bend with the movement? I ask because I have had very minimal success rigging thus far using dev rigs. I am sure it is easier than I am making it out to be, but thus far haven't found my personal nitche for it.

Ok so I am just getting use to Poser 10 now, and have modelled out a mesh for Dawn, currently it is dynamic, so I am wondering if I get the support for the Dawn figure @ PhilC's store will using the Wardrobe Wizard make it conforming or transfer the weightmapping from Dawn to the mesh I created?
Also by doing so, with this method, could I sell or give away the conforming or weightmapped transferred item I have created using the scripts?
