Hi, everyone.  Just wanted to announce my latest freebie release.  It's a highly detailed, "fantasy" styled stone alcove model, available in several scaled .obj formats, for importing easily into other 3D applications, like Blender, Poser, or Daz|Studio.

This free polygonal object comes complete with realistic, HD texture maps for the color/diffuse, bump, and (optional) specular material channels. Each texture map is provided in maximum quality JPG format, with resolution of 4096x4096 pixels, and are suitable for extreme close-up rendering. Notice that you may need to tweak, or adjust, the intensity of the bump maps in your software of choice, to get the optimum results for rendering.  Each part of the model has been UV Unwrapped to provide minimal texture distortion, and contains no overlapping UVW coordinates.  Seamless procedural materials should work fine on this model as well.  The object consists of 44,055 polygons in total, and 44,408 vertices, with 99.7% quad polygons, and 0.2% triangles. There are no polygons on this model that exceed 4 sides.  This model has been evaluated with Check-Mate Lite, and passes all scene property testing, with no potential problems.  It is not Check-Mate Pro certified, but is compliant with all requirements.

*All preview renders were made with the Octane render engine, using the exactly the same texture maps that are included with the model.  Please review the special instructions for OBJ import contained in the README file.

Click Here to download this model in OBJ formats from the Freestuff (the native .MAX scene file format is pending approval).  Optionally, you can also download this object form the following resource locations, as well as view the wireframes, and additional preview renders:

ShareCG.com

Turbosquid.com

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me here, or via my email (contained in the README).  Thanks, and have fun!

Thank you, Zandar.

Just letting everyone know also, the native .max scene file version of this object is now available in Freestuff as well, for anyone using 3dsmax 2012 or higher.  It's the exact same object as the OBJ version, with the same maps.  The object modifier stack is collapsed, for user compatibility.  The advantage of using the .max scene file is simply to avoid the need to import any files for users of 3dsmax.  You will have access to the object in it's native scale units, for easier integration with other objects, and more fluid scene development.
