Hi

How you can see the problem is the junction point indicated by the red arrow.

I think I need a mask to blend the wet area between one and the other.

The problem is how to apply it.

The skin material is complex because of the work done by Ezskin to coordinate the colors and "Gamma Correction"

Reflection value has been set to 1 for good see conjunction area

An unrelated question, why are you still using the blue chip in HSV and Diffuse_color?  Those are totally unnecessary in PP2014.  There is no ambient channel active in the MatRoom which would cast a reddish "glow" to the texture if on.  That is the purpose of the blue diffuse.  Otherwise, that cheat should be eliminated.

Thanks hborre

I will treasure your suggestion

For my skin problem, solution ?

solution = apply same spec/wet map to body tex.

hbo, he got diffuse = 0, hence may be safe.  but he could also plug colour map into that for preview if he desires.

Notice the HSV node color chip, same color.  V4 will look like a Smurf! LOL.

This is an issue that hasn't gone away; the default materials for YT Justin for Genesis 1 have the blue in diffuse, so it must be necessary in Studio.  Looks like a job for SceneFixer.....

Guys many thanks for the information about "blue chip in HSV and Diffuse_color"

but....

i'm still looking for a solution for the question above.

If the arm is wet and the body is dry, how can i fix the skin junction point ?

thanks.

Use a wave2d node to make a mask and mix them.

You will have to play around with the settings of the node to get it in the right place and have a good blend.

Here is an example of how to use the wave node to do masks for eyes, you can use a similar approach for just about anything.

Here is an example of a nipple mask for V3 to use different bump maps for the skin and the nipples, and have them blend without harsh edges..

Thank you

I'll do some test, but i think it's too complicated for me to find the right way, i'm a nerd with complex material.

xp, when texture overlaps body parts, I found it easiest to paint directly on model in APS CSE (3d painting app), which then saves texture maps with corresponding overlap in adjoining parts.  are many other 3d painting apps.

hborre ( ) posted Tue, 11 March 2014 at 1:04 PM

I agree with Miss Nancy, post work may be the only solution.  You are looking at a juncture between 2 material zones, creating a transparency map to transition that area would involve using more extensive nodes to get what you want without affecting the overall texture blend for the entire body.  It is possible but, IMO, you will not get it using EZSkin.

Miss Nancy ( ) posted Tue, 11 March 2014 at 2:54 PM

hbo, in APS one creates overlapping texmaps by painting directly on 3d model, which can then be rendered in APS, or saved and used in poser render.  is pre-work, rather than post-work. :-)

Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks Miss Nancy....

what you mean with "APS CSE" ?

thanks again.

solved the problem directly in poser without post work.

just by using a mask for oiled skin in the materials room

Obviously I can still improve the contact area between the oiled skin and dry skin....
