Subject: Genesis GenrationX2 and G2 Addon Plugin

Just a little guide for the Genesis GenrationX2 and G2 plugin in case anyone may find it useful.

2 reasons for this...firstly I struggled initially to get all the morphs for custom characters transferred.
and secondly I find a shoulder/Armpit issue when transferring V4 figures direct to G2.

So this is a quick and easy route to get Your character converted to both Genesis and genesis2,
and also converting the mats for G2 within the workflow.

Step 1...in daz load the figure(V4.2/M4 or whichever you are converting)

Step 2...Load the daz morphs you require eg V4++,elite,basic,muscle

Step 3...Load the body and/or head morphs for ypur character in the normal way...no need to apply mats yet.

Step 4...Select File>export and create a Cr2(its useful to remember where u put this as you will want to delete the files you make later)

Step 5 Make sure your CR2 was saved;]

Step 6...empty your scene

Step 7...In Genx click the Load button and select your Cr2...  Select the option Create single Morph(by the mode heading)

Step 8...Click the select button and choose the top option Transfer:all on

Step 9...make sure the Target figure is Genesis and click the transfer button...ignore the warning message and click yes

name your character.

Step 10...reset Genx this part is done.

Now You have a new genesis figure.

Step 11...in Daz load genesis

Step 12...In parameters/Actor Apply V4 figure shape

Step 13...In parameters/Actor/GenerationX Apply the shape you just made

Step 14...In parameters/Actor/Head/Generationx Apply the !V4 Jaw fix

You should now see a pretty acurate approximation of the custom V4 you had originally.

Step 15...Apply the Mats from the original figure....Do any alterations you use eg..AOA subsurfacing or Uber

Step 16...Save as a Material preset...this preset creates DUF presets so you can use on both genesis and Genesis2 figures.

Step 17 Keep this genesis figure in the scene and make sure it is selected.

Step 18 In GenX click the source button and select Genesis from the drop-down....make sure the Target figure is G2 Female/Male whichever you are doing.Again select the Mode Create single morph

Step 19...Click select and click the option get values from the figure in scene

Step 20...Click select and click the option transfer all on

Step 21...Click transfer...ignore the warning message...name your character.

Reset Genx....now is a good time to get rid of the CR2 files you created.

Clear the scene and load the G2 base figure

Under Parameters actor/GenerationX/people....apply the genesis figure

Under Parameters actor/GenerationX/Genesis...apply the figure you just made

Its also useful to go to the Waist Paraneters and set the navel at 1 it has a zero setting as default.

Now apply your saved Material in presets

You have your new figure....now is the time to do any fine tuning to morphs you may wish to make.

I hope someone may find this useful;]

Sounds great.  Could one of our Script folks out there compile this as an add-in?
