Hello,
When a vendor uploads an updated version of files/the product, all you need to do is re-download the new files to your system.
I hope this clears things up for you a bit.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend :)

Thanks, I know that, but that doesn't really answer my questions.
Case is that some of us have several thousand products in our accounts here and the number is constantly growing so we're working on an offline database program to automatically keep track of our products, notify us when they are being updated by scanning the account data etc.. Doing that manually is an almost impossible job. And for the program to work reliably we need to know how to reliably detect when a product has been updated.
So if you could help out with answering these questions I'd be grateful. I'm sure someone at RR must know these things. :)
Thanks!
I'm sorry I misunderstood your question then.
The only way currently to see updates is if you go to my account under the members tab, click item list, and then "updates" to the right. This will put the current updates at the top.
Hope this helps and have a great weekend,

Thanks again, but I'm not using the account pages like you normally do.
The program I'm working on collects the data from the account pages automatically and process them offline, but for that I'd like to be sure how the product update system works, so the data are being processed correctly without errors. Therefore the specific questions in my first post. They should be easy to answer - I think any vendor could answer them but I don't like to bother any of them if I can get the answers here.
Otherwise, if there is a FAQ for vendors with info on how files are being updated you could point me to, that might do as well.
Thanks!
N/A does mean the product has NOT been updated.
When we update a product we always change the updated date. So yes that always gets a new updated on date. We also reset downloads so that you can re-download the item. And the file normally gets a NEW file name. Most generally it contains ProductName_UD.zip
Hope this helps. :)
I just purchased Poser Pro 2014 and I really like it. It's not an upgrade so I plan to use it side by side with my Poser 7. I am bridging my old Poser directory with the new program too but my Renderosity morphs, textures and poses are in the downloads directory in Poser 7 and they're not showing up in Poser Pro. I don't know how to tell it they're there. It's just the upper main Poser directory with Michaels and Victorias my Poser and DAZ 3d material(s) that's showing up. Where is the Renderosity materials store and how do I get Poser Pro to use them?

When a vendor updates a product by updating, adding or removing a file or whatever, will the product then always automatically get a new update date? Or is that something the vendor has to set manually, and thereby possible forgetting it?
Also, will the filename always change if an existing file is being updated?
I assume that N/A under updated means that the product has never been updated?
