Subject: Trying to add indents will explain

hijend ( ) posted Thu, 02 July 2015 at 1:42 AM · edited Wed, 13 November 2024 at 12:29 PM

1st question How do I add indents on to someone after they are grabbed, example... Dog has paw on guys face, how would I make it so it looks like the dog is touching the guys face?  hope that makes sense.

2nd question  is there a document on getting Push Modifier Weight Node to work?   does that help with my issue above i'm having?

I notice it was with the deform tool for daz  studio..

oh btw I also use the smooth modifier tool, but that doesn't seem to give me the right effect i'm looking for, one figure seems to swallow up the other figure if its to close.

Thanks

For your 1st question, the answer is to use smoothing modifier on the guy and set its collision item as the dog.

In the pic shown below, I created a plane 1*1 with 10 divisions and used smoothing modifier and set the standing figure (genesis) as the collision item to create the indent. You can also increase the number of collision iterations and decrease the number of smoothing iterations. Also changing the type of smoothing effect from "base matching type" to "generic" helps to create more collision impact but in a smaller area
