I've just got my hands on DS 4.7. I'm having problems manually installing content from zips. I put them in the right folders, however DS don't recognize them. Is there an automatic process or anything out there that I can fix this problem?

For content from DAZ use the Install Manager. For freebies and content from other stores the Data, Runtime and any other folders at the same level of the zip need to be merged with the corresponding folders in the DocumentsDAZ 3DStudioMy Library folder. By the way, 4.7 is no longer the current version - 4.8 is out now with several updates, including the addition of Iray as a new default render engine alongside 3Delight.

DAZ 4.7 generally uses 2 Libraries by default - one at Public Documents/My DAZ 3D Libary, the other under My Documents/das 3d/studio/My Library.

While you can unzip into the first, it's usually better to let content manager handle that one if you want to use it (I don't).  If you are using the second location you need to keep in mind it is in a second library in the content manager.  If you put them in the right place, they will show up.
