Subject: Iray color different than 3Delight

lululee ( ) posted Mon, 31 October 2016 at 10:38 AM ยท edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 3:34 AM

Hi, I am getting a very different color when I render with Iray. I want a gloss like latex but still keep the correct color.

Any advice is appreciated.

Change the Translucency Color from gray to a very pale warm pink and SSS Reflectance Tint to white. The Top Coat Roughness is too high, the lower the value the higher the gloss.

Hi jestmart, Thanks so much for your valuable info. I apologize. I made an error when I did the screen shots. This screenshots are the character texture.

The problem is with the geometry shell. I'm attaching the geometry shell screen shots.

I truly appreciate your help.

I wouldn't bother with a geoshell, that is something I would use only if I wanted to make the figure look wet, oily or very sweaty.

Geoshells are useful for numerous things, I think Lululee is using them like second skin clothing.

Personally I would play with the Glossy settings and the reflective ones, I'll take a closer look in the morning when I'm not so tired and see if I can make any suggestions.
