Virtual World Dynamics F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 05 5:09 pm)
Hello ebergerly,
Excuse me to reply so late to your question. I didn't see your thread. Sorry! Yes, you are right, These two tabs are not accessible once the simulation is started.
All the parameters included in these tabs define the creation of the object as collision actor or as dynamic actor. These parameters are intimately linked to these actors and their modifications acts on their structures. It would be possible to modify them but, in this case, it would be necessary to record all the informations needed to access them. This would take a lot of memory.
The library I currently use needs me to work on 32 bits compilation and forbid me to work on Mac computers. I certainly will use another library later and many problems will be resolved.

Unlike the other settings tabs, it seems that as soon as you start the simulation, and even after you stop it, the Collision and Dynamics tabs are unavailable, but others seem to be available. So you can't change the cloth or collision parameters without reloading the simulation from scratch.
Is that true or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!!
