Subject: PoserSupport.tmp blocked as ransomware by MalwareBytes Premium 3.8.3.2965

OS is Win7Pro 64bit. I was running the P11.2 installer using default locations, etc., and I think it auto-launched the Support installer, and that it was the Support installer which was blocked.

The log doesn't show any more detail than the screenshot. I don't see any option to report it as a false positive.

Any suggestions? Anybody else encounter this?

There is no PoserSupport.tmp. PoserSupport is an .exe file.

The installer (.exe) temporarily creates the .tmp while it is executing.

That is strange. I also have Malwarebytes Premium on my machine. I didn't get any such threat. Did it or quarantine the file? Are you able to create an exclusion?

It didn't give opportunity to allow the executable to continue to run. It killed the process (closed out the installer). Nothing in quarantine.

You know the workaround. Malwarebytes only has to be off when installing the program. I'd kill the net as well. Before you enter your S/N, provide net access. Those who know the installation process better than I will you tell if that will work. However, the only time I saw the net in use during installation was at the Serial Number screen.
